R. Mark Dougall - Founder
R. Mark Dougall, DLO's founder, focuses his practice in the areas of personal and commercial transactional work, including real estate, wills and estates, probate, intellectual property, business formation & planning, and entertainment.
Mark obtained his Tennessee law license in 1993 and is admitted to practice law before all Tennessee Courts (1993) and in the United States Federal Court system (1994).
Mark's professional experience includes a law school clerkship for the copyright and legal departments of Sony Music Publishing in Nashville where he administered the publishing catalogs of various songwriters including John Lennon and Mariah Carey.
Prior to founding DLO, Mark practiced at a boutique entertainment law firm in Nashville where he represented celebrities and business entities in negotiating domestic and international entertainment agreements. Mark also tried complex intellectual property cases in Tennessee state courts and in Federal courts throughout the United States. Mark's background as a trial lawyer gives him knowledge and experience rare among today's transactional, entertainment, and real estate attorneys.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta in June 1990, where he was a Dean's list graduate and a midfielder for the men's LaCrosse team. Mark attended the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana on an Eskinazi Fellowship and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in May 1993. While in law school, Mark served as Executive Editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal, and was a co-founder of the Indiana University Sports & Entertainment Law Society.
Dougall lives in Franklin with his wife, Regan, and his two children, Ryleigh and Destin.
Marcya Bove - Attorney
Marcya Bove focuses primarily on guiding individuals and families through life changing events. Since joining Dougall Law Offices, PLLC, Marcya has primarily directed her practice to the areas of Family and Domestic Law (including adoptions, divorce, custody, child support and prenuptial agreements), Probate, Bankruptcy, Real Estate (including closings), Will Drafting, Estate Planning, Contract Review and General Civil Litigation.
Marcya understands that filing a lawsuit of any kind can be a tough situation for all involved. She therefore works hard to make the process as smooth as possible while keeping her clients informed from beginning to end and reaching a fair and equitable result.
Marcya is currently an active member in the Williamson County Bar Association and the Tennessee John Marshall Chapter of the American Inn of Court and she is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee before all Tennessee State and Federal Courts.
Marcya is also very involved in the community. She is an assistant distance coach for the Williamson County Youth Track Club, a Religious Education Instructor, Kids Country Music Marathon Trainer, a volunteer builder for Habitat for Humanity and is very active with Mission Honduras. She and her husband, Chris, have made several trips to Honduras with Mission Honduras to serve the needs of those located in different regions of the county.
Prior to Law School, Marcya was a recruiter for technical and business professionals after she was honorably discharged from the United States Army as a Military Intelligence Officer. She and her husband served together in Anchorage, Alaska before relocating to the Franklin area with their two wonderful children.
Marcya received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law, her Master of Business Organizational Management from the University of Laverne and her undergraduate degree in Government from Western Kentucky University.
